Critics from all sides of the online gaming world have been discussing how the new release from UMGE - 'Evony Free Forever' has had an impact on the free browser gaming market.
While no everyone is a fan of the highly visited free online MMORPG, most agree that the graphical design and certainly the marketing campaign around it have changed the rules for the internet gaming world.
Previously gaming was extremely basic and developers were only looking to get money from the surrounding adverts on the webpage.
This is were Evony changed things, in a slightly similar way to Blizzard did it with World of Warcraft (software based / client-server style) - UMGE have tried to set this model up albeit in a browser model.
Yes, the game takes a fair chunk of CPU resources, but when you get into Evony Online you are truly in a quality game experience that doesn't feel like a normal browser game.
Because things have been done so well, new entrants into the market will need to have sharp visuals, great sound, good gameplay and quick login access.
The opportunity to make money from 'premium gaming' or 'game coins' is there too, and this is exactly what UMGE / Wowmine are aiming up for.
